MUST:
Experienced Technical Manager
7+ years of experience required
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical management role, preferably within the data science or analytics domain with total IT experience of 7+ years
Technical proficiency in data management systems such as Data Domain, with hands-on experience in designing and optimizing data pipelines, processes, and workflows.
Strong programming skills, with expertise in Python or other relevant programming languages for data manipulation, analysis, and automation.
Experience leading teams in data-related projects, including data collection, preprocessing, cleaning, and analysis.
Proficiency in data science tools and platforms such as KNIME, Alteryx, Altair, RapidMiner, etc.
Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and techniques, with practical experience in model development, evaluation, and deployment.
Experience leading teams in an agile scrum/kanban environment, with the ability to play the scrum master role.
Experience with agile project management tools such as JIRA or Azure boards is preferred.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a diverse team.
Knowledge of data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and ethical considerations in data science.
Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and big data technologies is desirable.
Familiarity with SQL for data querying and manipulation.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, with a desire to stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in data science.
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.


DUTIES:
We are seeking a dynamic Technical Manager to lead our Data Science Operations team. This individual will play a pivotal role in driving the implementation of new systems, supporting existing core infrastructure, and ensuring the seamless execution of projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data science, project management, and leadership, with a passion for mentoring and guiding a diverse team of data professionals. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of Data Scientists, providing guidance, mentorship, and support in all aspects of their roles.
Oversee the implementation of data science projects, from conception to delivery, ensuring alignment with client objectives and organizational goals.
Serve as a technical expert, leveraging advanced data science methodologies and cutting-edge algorithms to extract insights from diverse datasets.
Lead the team in an agile scrum/kanban environment, playing the scrum master role to ensure efficient project execution and delivery.
Utilize agile methodologies to plan and prioritize project tasks, facilitate daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to groom the backlog, define user stories, and track progress using tools such as JIRA or Azure boards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, develop workflows, and optimize performance for large-scale data analysis.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing data science workflows, best practices, and methodologies.
Ensure data quality and integrity through regular audits, data validation processes, and adherence to privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Facilitate communication and collaboration across teams, fostering a culture of innovation, knowledge sharing, and teamwork.
Act as a liaison between the Data Science team, business stakeholder and upper management, providing regular updates, reports, and strategic insights.
