About the Position

Dexis is recruiting for aDigital Communications Specialist to support the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), America's development finance institution that works to mobilize private capital in the economic and social development of emerging market economies.This position is located in the Office of External Affairs (OEA).

The Office of External Affairs is DFC's first line of communication with the public. OEA is tasked with raising the profile of the agency in order to meet DFC's obligation to disclose the agency's work to the general public and meet DFC's obligations to its authorizing committees in the United States Congress.

The Digital Communications Specialist will support all aspects of DFC's digital communications strategy. The Digital Communications Specialist will lead the management of DFC's external-facing website, including overseeing content management, identifying and executing relevant updates, and liaising with external vendors to optimize DFC's website and drive engagement with target audiences. The role will also assist with the development and execution of digital communications campaigns and collaborates internally and externally to create high-quality marketing products, including social media.

This is a 6 month engagement which will be performed full-time. Work is primarily performed at the DFC office in Washington, DC. Remote work may be permitted in accordance with the contract. This position is contingent on award.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with all digital communications efforts, with a focus on website content management, UX/UI advising, email marketing, and social media.
  • Identify and propose updates to DFC's public-facing website.
  • Collaborate internally and externally to manage and implement website projects to ensure that the organization's website is up-to-date, user-friendly, and optimized for search engines.
  • Collaborate with external vendors in support of DFC's public-facing website and advise web developers on UX/UI.
  • Manage DFC's website media library, including by uploading and posting Public Information Summaries, digital reports and policies, Board Resolutions, and other materials.
  • Draft content for DFC's social media platforms, including Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
  • Analyze and report on the performance of digital communications channels and use insights to inform future strategies.
  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns, including creating content, managing subscriber lists, and analyzing campaign results.
  • Coordinate internally to draft and clear content for a wide variety of digital and printed marketing products.
  • Liaise with OEA's editorial and visual communications teams to produce multimedia communications materials for social media platforms, websites, events, communications campaigns, and related activities.
  • Operate camera, video, and a/v equipment as needed to capture photos and videos for use in professional external communications materials.
  • Oversee projects, with some supervision, to ensure streamlined processes are followed, tasks are completed, and that projects are executed on time and without error.
Qualifications
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, communications, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in media relations, preferably in a communications or journalism role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in website development and management.
  • Excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
